Dangerous Goods
Awareness Training Course
The DGSA certificated basic course will provide delegates with a depth of awareness required for those involved with the shipment of Dangerous Goods by International modes of transport.
Courses will be structured to the specific needs of candidates but will in general follow the following format
The Morning Session will include:
General awareness. E.g. an understanding of the classes, packaging, labeling, marking, placarding, compatibility, segregation requirements, transport and emergency response documents.
The session will concentrate on the requirements of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods that precede the specific modal requirements of IMDG & IATA. Together with practical examples of Placards/Labels and packages.
The Afternoon Session will comprise:
Workshop. This will cover the documentation required by the principal transport modes starting with U.K. CDG Transport Documentation.
The session will then consider these domestic regulations in conjunction with the documentary requirements of ADR / IMDG & IATA and specifically examples of how to use the regulations to verify the documents required by ADR/IMDG.
